This concept may well make super yachts an object of interest, rather than just excess. The hull though, is not new. In fact it's a Norwegian design for offshore geological survey dating back to the mid 90's:

Awesome, simply awesome. You know, it simply baffles the mind to think that what with the Gulf oil mess you guys are experiencing and the Chernobyl disaster, why the world doesn’t just get its act together and use solar and wind energy.
